1912 "Bird Boy" Cecil Peoli, 18, of New York makes the first flight on Prince Edward Island, a 10-15 minute jaunt above Charlottetown's exhibition grounds. The flight, in a biplane designed by Capt. James Baldwin, is part of a tour of eastern Canada.

Driving Directions to Acadian Museum

From the Confederation Bridge

Route 1 to Albany
Then 1A, to Summerside,
Then follow Route 2 to Miscouche,
The Acadian Museum is located on Route 2, in Miscouche, 10 km west of Summerside.

From the Northumberland Ferries:
Follow the Trans-Canada Highway (Route 1) to Charlottetown,
Then follow Route 2 West to Summerside,
Continue on Route 2 West to Miscouche,
