2025 Winter Events

Beaconsfield Historic House Holiday Extravaganza - December 5, 6 & 7

Most of our planned activities and performances for this event weekend are free to participate in. Donations will be graciously accepted; donation boxes and donation forms will be available on-site if you wish to support the PEI Museum & Heritage Foundation with a monetary contribution. Ticketed/paid activities and performances are noted below.

Dec. 5 Update

We are still on for today! Our EXTERIOR events from 12:00 - 5:00 PM have all been moved INSIDE THE CARRIAGE HOUSE! We hope to see you today for the holiday market, crafting party, free hot chocolate, special baked goods, and more!

We'll have a further announcement/update later today, both here and on our social media channels, regarding our 5:00 - 5:30 PM lighting ceremony and musical performance. We may have to pivot or alter those plans. Stay tuned!

Friday, December 5 Schedule:

Carriage House

10:00 AM - 4:30 PM: Curated holiday market with more than 15 vendors.

• Free admission!
• Organized by Village & Values.

12:00 - 5:00 PM: Our exterior events have been moved inside the Carriage House due to the temperature. Join us from 12-5 PM for lots of goodies and fun activities!

• Family friendly crafting activity inside the Carriage House, on the market floor.
  • Free to participate!
  • Organized by Creative PEI.
     
• Hot chocolate station

• Special holiday cookies and baked goods for sale
   
• PEI Humane Society "Meat" tree fundraiser
   
• Candy cane & well-wishes tree, organized by Kozroots

3:30 - 4:00 PM: Live sing along musical performance featuring holiday music.

• Performed by Lucy Farrell and Shane Pendergast!

4:30 PM: Lighting of Beaconsfield Historic House

• It's called out there today, so no formal ceremony, but you can catch the lighting live at 4:30 PM following Lucy and Shane's performance!

Beaconsfield Historic House (Interior)

3:00 - 4:00 PM: Family Story Time

• Join writer, spoken word performer, and visual artist Ashleigh Tremere in the beautiful Double Drawing Room inside Beaconsfield Historic House for family story time. Ashleigh will be reading a number of stories and poems about the holiday season.
• 3:00 - 3:30 PM (Session 1)
• 3:30 - 4:00 PM (Session 2)
• Limited seating; first come, first served
• Free admission

2:00 PM - 8:00 PM: Special House Tours

• Special tours of a beautifully decorated Beaconsfield Historic House interior for the holiday season, featuring live harp music
• Admission $10.00.

Saturday, December 6 Schedule:
