Ghost Tours: The Haunting of Yeo House

Peer beyond the veil and the exhibition ropes. Many eerie legends and lore surround this Victorian-era home, and most of our staff have experienced at least one unexplained phenomenon. You'll be looking over your shoulder as you hear tales of the home's more wicked history, learn about Victorian mourning beliefs, and meet our most notorious haunted object - Wheelie.

Thursdays in July and August 2025

Spend an afternoon in the time of Lucy Maud Montgomery, author of PEI’s beloved Anne of Green Gables, in this unique immersive experience! Our costumed guide will lead you through the village, connecting Orwell Corner’s authentic late-Victorian charms to Montgomery’s life and facilitating hands-on historic activities. 

Visit our adorable farm animals, learn to dance on the village green, enjoy some afternoon tea, and follow in Montgomery’s own footsteps by taking a wagon ride along a route she travelled in 1910! 

This program is intended for adult audiences, but children over 7 are allowed with supervision. Groups welcome. Costumes are welcome but not required!

The Bog Tours 2025

This program is funded by the PEI Government Anti-Racism Grant in Partnership with the Black Cultural Society of PEI

  • The Bog Tour is FREE for community groups
  • Starting and ending at Beaconsfield Historic House - 2 Kent Street, Charlottetown
  • Tours for individuals - pay-what-you-can - suggested amount $5
  • Please note this is a walking tour (45 minutes) and weather-dependent.

Tours are offered at the following times

  • Mornings: 9:00, 10:00 and 11:00
  • Afternoons: 1:00 pm, 2:00 pm and 3:00 pm 

Tours for school groups are available Monday to Thursday at 9:00 - 10:00 and 11:00 am

Max. 35 students per tour.  Offered in English or French for schools only.
