Public Events at the Carriage House

The Carriage House at Beaconsfield Historic House, located at 2 Kent Street in Charlottetown, is open year-round for lectures, concerts, and other special events. Events NOT organized by the PEI Museum and Heritage Foundation are highlighted with an asterisk*

To make a Carriage House Booking, please fill out a request form. A staff member will be in touch to confirm your reservation once the request is processed.

While we are happy to reserve your dates early, bookings made more than 18 months in advance will be subject to the rental rate that is in effect at the time of your event, not the rate at the time of booking.

Weddings/Private Celebrations

• All wedding rentals are paused. Check back for an update in January 2026. This pause does not impact currently booked or in-process rentals.

Carriage House Amenities

• 100 guest capacity (doesn't include staff & volunteers)
• 100 chairs & 15 folding tables
• Wireless Projector & Screen (laptop required)
• Wi-Fi
• Afterhours access available
• Kitchen:

  • Stove
  •  Dishwasher
• Tea & Coffee with all supplies & Coffee Maker (Self-Serve)
• Piano available (regularly tuned)
• Stage lighting & Sound system
• Air Conditioning
• Venue is approved for Smudging by the City of Charlottetown and City Fire Department (contact us first, please!)
• Exterior rentals available

Friendly Reminders:

• We encourage you to check availability from the calendar below before sending in your booking request 
• No staff will be available on weekends or statutory holidays (Labour Day, Thanksgiving, etc.)
• We only provide a space. Our staff do not assist with your event needs such as set-up, tear-down, serving, catering, etc.

Please note, we update the calendar below often, but it may not be accurate minute-to-minute. The Carriage House may have PENDING bookings that are not yet reflected in the calendar, and these may conflict with your intended booking time. We will work with you to find a new suitable booking time whenever possible.
