Prince Edward Island is rich with fossils from the Permian period, roughly 290 million years ago. A lot of the known specimens in the province are discovered by children, making the third annual Fossil Day in Charlottetown that much more important for teaching young people how to identify them. CBC P.E.I. went to check it out.

Island history is becoming more accessible. Beaconsfield Heritage House is now offering tours with sign language interpreters to help more people connect with the site’s stories.

Staff at Beaconsfield in Charlottetown are working to make the historic house more inclusive for visitors. This spring, it's offering tours with American Sign Language interpretation for the deaf and hard-of-hearing community. CBC P.E.I. went to find out more.
