Orwell Corner Historic Village Events and Exhibits

August 19, 2023 is the 50th anniversary of Orwell Corner Historic Village!

For one day only, admission price will be $3 + HST, available for purchase at the door. Come join us on a day full of fun activities, including U-pick veggies, blacksmith demonstration, wagon rides, and more. 

School Tours 

School programming is tailored for grades 1 to 12 and includes guided tours of all village buildings, a scheduled lunch break followed by hands-on activities including a visit with the blacksmith, candle making as well as a horse and wagon ride (weather permitting). Experience Orwell

Orwell Corner is excited to offer a variety of one of a kind experiences to visitors from May 1 - November 1.  Depending on the season, visitors can feed the baby animals on the farm, learn hands-on how to make their own bread and butter, forge their own keepsake with a trained blacksmith (ages 16+), and make the same carriage journey L.M. Montgomery made from Orwell Corner to Macphail's Homestead.

Children's Programming

Camp Orwell - July and August (ages 6 to 10)

Kids aged 6 to 10 are welcome to join us every Thursday in July and August for a supervised day of ice cream and candle making, horse grooming, treasure hunts, old-fashioned games, gardening, crafts and more! Parents are asked to call ahead to pre-register their children at (902) 651-8515. The final day of Camp Orwell 2022 is August 25th.
